Pick-up is in Cape Town then we proceed to the Stellenbosch Winelands and wind our way up the Helderberg mountainside to the highest winery in the Stellenbosch area, Uva Mira Boutique Winery at 620 meters above sea level, to sample the iconic wines which have received accolades locally and internationally. The 360 degree views of Table Mountain, Robben Mountain, Table Bay, False Bay and
Cape Point are breathtaking.

We then head down the mountain to Peter Falke Wines. Nestled against the majestic slopes of the Helderberg Mountains where winding pink bougainvillea, a romantic blur of vineyards and rose gardens will meet you upon arrival. Dating back to the 1800’s, the traditional white and green gabled Cape Dutch buildings of the wine estate belie a contrasting modernity within.

Bilton Wines is an old-world wine estate, ideally situated in the famed Stellenbosch wine region. The gracious combination of the ideal location and fruitful terroir enable them to produce award-wining, boutique wines that are as rich and complex as the berries from which they’re made. For our lunch stop (for your own account), we visit Middelvlei. This is the home of the Momberg family, who have been wine farmers since 1919. On arrival, the 'official' welcoming committee of family pets, including dogs (all named after wine varietals), pot belly pigs, pygmy goats, donkeys and many more, will escort you to the tasting room. The wines are also pretty spectacular! Lunch is a scrumptious farmer's platter of traditional fare and warm baked oven bread.
After lunch we visit the town of Stellenbosch. Your guide will point out the main attractions and share some of the rich history with you.

For the Classic option of this tour, the overnight stop will be at Yellow Lodge Guest House where excellent German hospitality awaits you in this lovingly restored National Heritage building.
On the Luxury option, River Manor Boutique Hotel and Spa with it's National Monument Status, and furnished with the theme of ‘Colonial Charm with an African Touch’, offers old world charm with modern conveniences including an exclusive Health and Beauty Spa.
Day 2
This morning will be free to explore Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, also known as Eikestad, ‘village of oaks’, and Dorp Street, which has the longest row of old surviving buildings in South Africa. Guide meets you back at accommodation at 12h00.

We then visit the phenomenal winemaking team of Gary and Kathy Jordan at Jordan Wines for a tasting. Their philosophy: success begins in the vineyards. Exceptional wines are made possible by careful management of the farm's extensive natural assets through innovative canopy management and selecting varieties and clones specifically suited to the various soils and slopes. They recently collaborated with award-winning chef, George Jardine, to open Jordan Restaurant, which is our lunch stop (for your own account). The menus change daily, but the format for lunch and dinner remain the same throughout the year. George sources only fresh, local produce, which means you get the best quality chef making your meal with the freshest ingredients. The dining experience will satisfy all senses from sight through to palate, ensuring a memorable occasion.

Our final port of call is Amani Vineyards, located on the southern slope of Kanonkop, the tallest of the hills to the west of Stellenbosch. The vineyards are graced by the ocean breezes of False Bay to the South, the Atlantic to the West and is one of the coolest regions in the Stellenbosch area. Breathtaking views of Table Mountain, the Cape Point, False Bay and the mountains to the east and north provide a panorama that is awe inspiring.
